Paul Schoeni (pronouced “SHANEY”) is a Visual Development Artist, 3D Modeler, Character Designer, Educator, and Illustrator. He’s been working in animation for over 20 years, including 17 years at Dreamworks Animation. He’s credited on 18 feature animated films for them, such as: The Wild Robot, Kung Fu Panda, How To Train Your Dragon (2 and 3), Dogman, The Croods (1 and 2), Trolls: World Tour, MegaMind, Shrek Forever After, The Boss Baby and many more. He’s currently working for Warner Brothers Pictures Animation on two unannounced projects due in 2027 and 2028. In addition to his full-time job, Paul teaches part-time at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California and also works in illustration on the side. He’s a graduate of the Animation Program at Brigham Young University and lives in southern California with his wife and four children.
